WOW these Bendaroos really have taken off in a big way here in the UK. But that leads to the next biggest problem where to buy Bendaroos in the UK. At first this may seem like a simple question and simply search for them on the Internet but most likely you have already done that and come up with the problem that if you buy them from America they cost $19.99 +P&P and if you get them from the UK websites they cost £19.99 + P&P.
I have ho idea why these are the same value but a different currency but I see this more and more these days were people sell things for the same value but different currency symbol. There is another way to get cheap Bendaroos and tha is to check out eBay. Now if your not careful you may still be buying from a supplier based in the US or somewhere else but there are a few companies that will supply you Bendaroos from the UK and these companies seem to have sorted out the $ to £ symbols correctly.
Another great place to buy Bendaroos at the moment is Amazon UK. The down side of Amazon is that in my opinion they can still be high in price but the main advantage is that they offer you alternatives like Wikki Sticks. In fact this is the main reason why I like to shop at Amazon, they always offer you an alternative to your original purchase. Try it! click on any of the Bendaroo images below and see what alternatives to the product Amazon have to offer.
So what are Bendaroos?
They are an activity set for children over the age of three and for our two kids it’s something they can play with for a good hour or two. They are a ‘magical’ wax covered string that the kids can bend and shape into anything they want and when finished playing, they simply straightened out to be reused again later. In most cases however the children have made something funky, or covered their scooters so we run out of them rather fast. For making simple figures or images they are great though.
Everyday High School Musical clothes are my daughter’s favorite. She comes home from school and can’t wait to get into her jeans or bright red track pants. At weekends she spends more time than her mum in choosing which top to wear and who will accompany her on the shopping trip.
The range of everyday High School Musical clothes is almost endless with everything from the classic t-shirt with the logo emblazoned across the front to those with images of your favorite character or the full team. There are sweatshirts, hoodie tops, long sleeve tops, and jackets. These tops can be pink, white, blue or black, they can be mixed colors or single colors they can different colored hood’s or arms or both. The pattern could be anything from a single letter ‘E’ to the full troop of dancers and singers jumping about. There are flowers, stars, fireworks the lot and we all wait while she chooses what from all of this she would like to wear
For the bottom half of the ensemble we have jeans with stars on the pockets or flowers embroidered onto the bottom of the legs, we have track pants with letters across the bum area and mini skirts made from denim or cotton. Again these come in a variety of colors and most will have diamante on them somewhere.
In general I don’t have any problem with my daughters choice in High Scholl Musical clothes I just wish there wasn’t such a large range for her to choose from.
As a parent teaching your children is part and parcel of life as they grow up. Yet every day as a parent you learn something new as well. About 3 years ago Emma discovered she had spots all over the soles of her feet and the palms of her hands. A visit to the doctor was not helpful who said that it was probably stress related and want to start her on anti-depression tablets. Unhappy with the reported problems of such medication Emma decided that she would just leave them a few weeks and see how things went.
Two weeks after the doctors visit and all the spots had gone, as well as the stress of having the spots! What has that got to do with parents still learning you may ask, well recently our little lad came home from day care complaining about a sore mouth. Upon investigation we noticed he had ulcers on his tongue and cheeks so it was off to the doctors with this one.
Hand foot & mouth was the outcome! The daycare centre had a small outbreak of this viral disease, nothing really to worry about as it usually subsides after 3-4 days. Sometimes the ulcers can cause problems with drinking and eating but for our lad that didn’t seem to be a problem. He still managed to eat some of his lunch and evening meal and to help him with the ulcers ice cream was the best medication we came up with, better that the gel the doc gave us.
Here comes the learning part. Our daughter who is six didn’t get anything of the hand, foot & mouth but us mum and dad got some real irritating spots on our hands and feet, not dis-similar to those Emma got 3 years ago and things all started to fall into place now. Our daughter went to the same day centre and must have contracted a mild form of this hand, foot & mouth back then and passed this onto Emma who just had given birth. Probably a bit low, her immune system would have been unable to fight this as much as other adults who are not suppose to get hand, foot & mouth.
The spots are not as severe as those Emma had but they are definitely the same type of spots. So what did we learn about this? Adults can contract hand, foot & mouth from their children. Even though told by a doctor that he could go to day care they wouldn’t let him in, so doctors don’t know everything. But the most depression thing we learnt is that doctors are very quick to get people onto anti-depression drugs, why this is I’m not really sure but if your doctors answer to most illnesses is stress and depression maybe its time to find a new doctor, I know we did.
