Realistic Honest Review

I got this camera for my niece for xmas and to be on the safe side I thought that I would try it out before wrapping it. I used the camera for an afternoon and i think that it is absolutely brilliant especially for kids who couldnt care what 8 megapixels and optical zoom is. Granted the pictures are not up to the same standard as a proper digital camera but when you display the pictures on a tv using the av cables supplied they look really good and its got a lot of quirky little features. This is a great camera for KIDS , dont expect David Bailey quality from it as thats not what its made for - its made for FUN and I for one think that its exactly that and would give it six stars if i could ! BRILLIANT !!!
One very happy four year old

Bought this camera for my daughter's fourth birthday somewhat apprehensively after reading the reviews. Sadly she was very unwell on her birthday but when she opened her present she was absolutely delighted and spent the rest of the day clicking away happily and adding devil horns to photos of her baby brother. She managed to work out how to use most of the functions by herself - it is very child friendly to use. As for the quality of the photos, I thought they were really quite good considering some of the awful reviews and for a child's camera I wouldn't be disappointed at all. This has been a great purchase and I would thoroughly recommend it. Perhaps the one downside is that it doesn't come with a case but it is very robustly built. Go on, buy it, you won't regret it and it is hilarious looking at what your little one has taken photos of - it gives you a real insight into how their little minds work.
FUN TIMES!!

My daughter had this for her 7th birthday. I did wonder if it would be to babyish, but after reading lots of online reviews, I went ahead and got it. She absolutely loves it. Easy to use and great fun, especially adding cartoon features. She also likes the video option. We bought a memory card as the camera itself doesn't hold a lot (a lot of people mentioned this in their review). All in all a good purchase.
superb TOY

Reviewer: Mr. S. Hollins,
I get so frustrated with some reveiws on this site. This is not an adults camera, it is not supposed to be. it doesnt bother with 67 million mega mega pixels, or 23 super fantastic zoom. it is a TOY. Bought it for my 3 year old daughter for xmas and she is yet to put it down. its big, durable, good size screen, fun games, very easy to use, and you can play it on t.v. quality of pic is only ok but that is fine it is a TOY. the camera can take up to 200 pics on its own memory, battery life is good (same batteries in ours since xmas), good flash, great fun. If you want a camera for a young child so they can learn how to use, and have fun doing it, then this is the one. Remember it is a TOY!!!

The first thing you’ll notice about this children’s digital camera, other than the vibrant colours it’s available in, is that it feels sturdy. With rubberized handles and viewfinder, handing this over to any toddler is a joy as you can be sure it won’t break on the first tumble to the ground. The built-in features such as special effects, games and sound effects also make this camera fun to play with and is a great way to start those budding photographers early.

The Good Thing’s About This Children’s Digital Camera

If you have ever tried to take a photography of any child these days with your own digital camer you’ll know that seeing themselfs in the samll view finder is just about the best thing with getting the photo taken. So having their own instant pictures show up on the LCD screen makes this the top feature of this camera. The double-eye viewfinder makes it easier for children to see what they are shooting and to to line up shots without having to learn to use one eye with the other closed.

The double buttons on the childrens Kidizoom Digital Camera are large and kid-friendly providing two options for taking a photo. One button sits on the top of the camera in a traditional spot, the other is positioned on the back of the camera, easy to reach with a thumb.

After taking the photos children will just love to play with the images they have produced and the Kidizoom digital camera helps with this by providing a built-in frames and clip art function. These features are available to use as you take the picture or later with the built in editor.

The Not So Good Things About The Kidizoom Digital Camera

The VTech Kidizoom Camera is a great first childrens digital camera but you shold remember who it is aimed at and don’t expect top quality shots. The photo quality leaves most adults wondering if the images are any good but your kids will just adore them. You will notice however that trying to focus with the traditional viewfinder has some minor glitches and using the LCD, although far more acurate, can eat the batteries up. Talking of batteries, don’t forget to have a supply of AA on hand as this digital camera will need 4.

Who Is The VTech Childrens Digital Camera Aim At

Childrens wil show an interest in photographes from an early age and given the small size of this item I would say children from about 2 years old can use it independantly. Some of the additional features such as adding frames or taking movies may need a bit more explaining. With the camara memory able to hold about 200 images the kids can go off and use this camera without having t run back to you to help clear the rubbish off the memory.
